Join the Poetry Club Reading at The Lunch Box on Main Street to celebrate the Adult Poetry Contest Winners. The Poetry Contest is sponsored by the Shawnee Friends of the Library.

Join us to celebrate poetry and the winners of the Shawnee Friends of the Library Poetry Contest!  Contest winners will be announced and the event will include the opportunity for participants to read their poetry for the group. 

Contest Rules

·         Limit of one poem per person

·         Entrants must live, work, or go to school in Shawnee and be 18 or older

·         Entry must be unpublished (social media and personal blogs do not count as published)

·         Each poem must be one page or shorter

·         Please DO NOT put your name on the poem

·         List the title of the poem below on this entry form

·         Award categories: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Place

 

Submit your entry online :  https://forms.gle/51x2ZZHZ2ScWWqAM9  or in person at the Shawnee Public Library. 

All submissions are due by midnight, April 30th, 2024.  

 

The contest is sponsored by the Friends of the Shawnee Public Library.
