Join us for Touch A Truck at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, a community event with fun for the whole family as you get an up-close, hands-on look at your favorite vehicles! Quiet hour from 9-10 am.
A family favorite since 2005, Touch A Truck promotes play-based learning to help children learn and grow as they interact with the trucks they love and those who make them run, including cranes, helicopters, fire engines, garbage trucks, mobile banks, bucket trucks, construction vehicles, mobile weather units, and more. Children and their caregivers can also explore the Pioneer Library System’s Mobile Maker Lab and learn about programming and resources available at their local library. The event is free to the public (a $2 per person donation is suggested). Touch A Truck will be held at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds, located at 615 E Robinson St, Norman, OK 73071.
From 9:00-10:00 am we will have a quiet hour for those with noise sensitivities. During that time, trucks will refrain from honking horns or making loud noises.
The Pioneer Library System and Pioneer Library System Foundation host this fun event. Proceeds benefit the six branch libraries in Cleveland County including Moore, Noble, Norman Central, Norman East, Norman West, and Southwest Oklahoma City. Support from our incredible community partners makes this event possible. For more information about sponsorship, please contact the PLS Foundation. Touch A Truck celebrates the value of our community libraries and helps to ensure that the library will continue to inspire innovation, engagement and learning in our Cleveland County communities.
