This custom collage workshop invites guests to bring their own reproductions of photos, postcards, family recipe cards, and any other image to create their own handmade collage on paper.
"Custom Collage" invites guests to bring their own reproductions of family photos, postcards, and/or family recipe cards to create their own 9 in. x 12 in. handmade collage work on paper under Marissa Raglin's direction. Leaning on design basics, guests are encouraged to alter the imagery they bring and add texture and shapes to create their own narrative. Bring your imagination! Raglin will provide all other materials needed.
Marissa Raglin is a visual artist currently working in analog collage and resin, she can be found knee-deep in old illustration books and magazines plucked from thrift stores and half-priced book shops. Raglin received her BA in Studio Art from Oklahoma Baptist University. Raglin picked up the Xacto knife and began working in collage shortly after college with a passion for working with found materials. Raglin was the 2017-18 Skirvin Paseo Artist in Residence and currently works as the Director of Museum Experience at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum, home of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
