Join us for this special screening of the movie Te Ata based on the true story of Mary Thompson Fisher.
November is Native American Heritage Month. Come and join us for a special screening of the movie Te Ata based on the true story of the performing artist, Mary Thompson Fisher. She was born in the Chickasaw Nation in Oklahoma before statehood. This movie is based on the life of this cultural icon during a time when there was tremendous hardship and change for Native Americans.
Enjoy light refreshments and a discussion of this month's movie with friends and family led by a librarian. This event will begin at 1 PM.
Registration is encouraged, but not required!
