In this class we will be learning about ham radio. We will experience the use of ham radio with hands on demonstrations as well as learning information about certification for ham license.

Strengthen your ham radio skills.  This program will cover hands-on exploration of ham radios in a supportive learning environment as well as books and information to help with the certification testing.  After completing this program, you are invited to take the certification test for ham operators on the last evening of class.

No prior experience is necessary for this program! 

This event is twice a week from October 28th thru November 21, 2024, and will be held at the Newcastle Storm Shelter at 851 N Carr Newcastle Ok 73065.

City of Newcastle, South Canadian Amateur Radio Society, McClain County Amateur Radio Emergency Services, Friends of the Newcastle Library, and Pioneer Library System Newcastle Branch all worked together to offer this program.
