Norman Ballet Company Dancers will perform selections from "The Oklahoma Nutcracker".
Join us for an afternoon of ballet performances from Norman Ballet Company dancers.
The performance will include a brief presentation of how dancers prepare for their roles
and how characters are portrayed through movement, music, and costume.
The dances performed will include the Doll Dances from Act I and the Sword Fight Duel
between the Mouse King and the Nutcracker.
Act II offerings include Sand Plum Fairy, The King Snake, Scissortail Flycatcher, and the
Chili Pepper.
Children are encouraged to dress up as their favorite Oklahoma Nutcracker character
and will have the opportunity to learn movements of selected dances from the dancers.
Older children will learn the finer points of “sword fighting” (without actual swords) from
the Mouse King and the Nutcracker.
