Boost your child’s confidence in reading by taking it to the pets! As a friendly and open listener, a certified therapy dog makes a fantastic reading partner. Registration required. Call 405-485-2275.

Children will practice reading in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere at their own pace with Ms. Cathy and a certified therapy dog (Buzz or Sully) provided through the library. Reading to dogs not only helps children improve their confidence and skills but also has many social and emotional benefits as well. Participants can bring a favorite book or choose one from the library!   Registration is required. If a registrant does not show up for their scheduled time, then we will move on to the next registrant.  Please call the Blanchard Library 405-485-2275 to schedule your 15-minute time slot. Designed for beginning and young readers.
