Conference Room

Be inspired to break the rules, and learn how to be an advocate for yourself and your community. Anyone can be a Riot Grrrl at heart.

Originating in Washington state in the 1990's, the Riot Grrrl movement was a female fronted movement in music. Fueled by feminism, punk, and politics, Riot Grrrl quickly swept the country, and encourages attitudes surrounding feminism and social justice today. In celebration of women's history month, the inaugural meeting of this book club will introduce themes and titles related to the movement. Readers will be able to choose from a selection of titles to read throughout the month.
