Frisson is an eight-piece instrumental collective comprised of innovative musicians from across the United States.

Come to Norman Public Library West to get an intimate show from the headliners of Jazz in June!

Frisson is an eight-piece instrumental collective comprised of innovative musicians from across the United States. In this interactive clinic, members of the band will discuss their music and special approaches for contemporary ensemble playing. 

 

Topics will include:

-Polyrhythmic and odd time groove applications

-Incorporating live electronics in improvised music

-Writing and arranging 

-Improvisation

This Jazz in June artist clinic is funded by a Norman Arts Council grant.
