Children (ages 5-7) are invited to a fun week of computer programming with Scratch - a real programming language with an easy drag-and-drop interface developed by MIT. No computer programming experience is necessary, although good computer skills are recommended. Any student who is still learning to read effectively needs to be accompanied by an adult. Students (and maybe their parents!) will learn the basic ideas of programming a computer to make video games and can even play their awesome creations at home!
This camp is for ages 5 through 7. All camps have an age requirement: if your child does not fit the age profile of this Lab, we can almost guarantee (ages 5-18) that we have one for your family - and there are activities for all ages throughout all of summer in the Norman Libraries!
These camps open for registration two weeks prior to their start date, and registration is required. You are welcome to contact Aaron Pence, the manager of the Computer Training Center, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (405) 701-2696 with questions.
