This class is appropriate for beginners, seniors, stressed out moms, runners, golfers, tennis players, and any other adult in search of improving the connection between mind and body.
Classes are taught by Martha Constant. She is a Kripalu certified Yoga Instructor, a Relax and Renew certified Restorative Yoga Instructor and a Yoga Alliance RYT 200 Registered Yoga Teacher. She has been practicing yoga for 18 years and teaching yoga for 14 years.
Yoga is a great way to help you become more flexible and reduce stress. This class will introduce Hatha Yoga asanas (postures) along with basic relaxation and breathing techniques. Rhythmic abdominal breathing in synchronization with the movements will be taught. Static poses, flowing sequenced poses and balancing ones will be explored. Poses can be modified to suit individual flexibilities. Develop strength and flexibility throughout the entire body and build towards centering and focus.
No prior Yoga experience necessary. Wear comfortable, stretchy clothes. Mats are not provided, please bring your own mat. If you don’t have a mat, bring a beach towel or blanket. Adults only please.
