Tweens and teens prepare to learn about Banned Book Week. This program focuses on the freedom to read as we learn about the historical and current attempts to censor some of your favorite books.
This program will include a brief book discussion, crafting of orbs from recycled book pages to take home, and a game that focuses on the reasons why books are challenged or banned. Teams will compete as they try to guess the titles of famous books based on the reasons they were banned. There will be a prize for the winning team.
This program is for tweens, ages 10-13.
Registration is encouraged for this program.
