Instructional, informative, interactive, engaging program where everyone learns things like coordination, spatial awareness, the importance of a healthy mind and body, and the value of practice when learning something new, and that it’s okay to make mistakes-that’s how you learn. Hands-on learning how to hula hoop.
Chelsea Ryan of Hooplahoma will be teaching hula hooping skills to children. They will learn about coordination, spatial awareness, the importance of a healthy mind and body, and the value of practice. This is a 50 minute program. We encourage the use of our new event tracker system, so kids bring your library cards and use it when you check in for the program.
This health literacy project is funded through a grant from the Oklahoma Department of Libraries with a federal grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
