Join us for Lunch and Listen as we host the Sallee Jazz Quintet!
The Sallee Jazz Quintet is made up of local musicians, four which are music educators in the Norman area. Four of the five have performed together throughout the metro for over 23 years. Band members include Jay Wilkinson, Coordinator of Jazz Studies at OU on trumpet and vocals; Jonathan Nichol, Associate Professor of Saxophone on tenor and soprano sax; Randall Coyne, Retired OU Law Professor on percussion; John Cole, Edmond entrepreneur on upright bass and Mary Sallee, Norman piano teacher/composer on piano.
The group plays a variety of jazz styles for private events and has been featured for various public events such as: Norman’s Jazz in June, Norman’s Legacy Park Series, OKC Noon Tunes Series, Norman’s 2nd Friday Artwalk and the West Branch Library’s Lunch and Listen Series.
