Join us for a Bughouse Chess Tournament! Participants must have rudimentary chess skills (knowing piece placement, attacking flight squares, and using checkmate patterns). Registration required.
Bughouse is a fun variation of chess in which players pass captured pieces to their teammates. The teammate recycles the pieces on their own board. It's fast raucous, loud, and a great way for young chess players to have fun and make new friends.
The program will start at 10am and will continue until the rounds end, or 5pm when the library closes. Please be prepared to bring your own lunch and stay all day.
Registration is required in pairs. Solo registrations are dependent on an even number of people the day of the tournament. Those who register as a solo participant will be paired up at the tournament on a first come first served basis.
