Hour of Code is a wonderful national initiative to teach children how to code. Using a simple, drag-and-drop interface, students are tasked with leveraging basic computer skills to learn computer science concepts and get excited about the results of their work immediately.The Norman Library is proud to offer a special Hour of Code event where children (ages 5-9) will work with their peers to complete tasks and challenges, gain skills, and make friends. No programming experience is necessary, but the ability to use a mouse and read is highly recommended. Registration is requested. Click the "Register" button and complete the form, register at the Computer Training Center, or call the library. Registration opens two weeks before the event.
