Native Crossroads Film Festival & Symposium

Native Crossroads 2020: "Warriors"

Co-sponsored by the departments of Film & Media Studies and Native American Studies at the University of Oklahoma, Native Crossroads heads into its 8th year focused on the theme of "Warriors."

Co-sponsored by the departments of Film & Media Studies and Native American Studies at the University of Oklahoma, Native Crossroads heads into its 8th year focused on the theme of "Warriors."

With a symposium scheduled for March 26th on OU's campus, the festival will continue at the Norman Central Library on March 27th and 28th, bringing the best in contemporary, international Indigenous cinema to Norman, with an eye towards inspiring forward thinking on cultural, political, and artistic fronts. Screenings will be coupled with roundtable discussions intended to inspire conversations among filmmakers, scholars, community and tribal organization representatives, writers, and performers. Through a combination of features, short films, animation, and documentaries, the festival emphasizes less-considered ways that Native resilience has been put into inspiring, effective action.

This event is free and open to the public. For further information, please visit www.nativecrossroads.org.
