Teens learn fundamental acting stills in this beginner's workshop series.
If you've ever dreamed of performing on stage or in front of a camera, you'll love this free interactive acting workshop for beginners. Teens will learn to develop a solid foundation of acting skills over the course of this 5 week series to help prepare them for auditions.
Teens learn the basics such as Concentration, Listening, Accessing Your Emotions and Relaxation and Imagination. Participants will also be taught the basics to scene analysis, understanding dramatic action, characterization, how to read a script and develop a monologue. At the end actors will showcase their new skills by performing their monologue for their peers, friends, and family.
Classes will be taught by Lazara Gonzalez, a television writer and director. Lazara also worked as a script coach and child actor coach in movies such as Get Low and The Blind Side.
No prior acting experience is needed.
