The FIRST LEGO League Jr. teams in partnership with the McLoud Library will be at the FireLake Arena in Shawnee to share their AQUA ADVENTURE Challenge Lego Models and Show Me Posters.
The 2017 FIRST STEM Equity Community Innovation Grant has been awarded to the Pioneer Library System Foundation. This grant has created a partnership with the McLoud Public Library, McLoud Public Schools, and the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma to form three FIRST LEGO League Jr. teams in McLoud. Students have joined the AQUA ADVENTURE Challenge, working together to navigate the uncharted waters of this important resource. They have researched where the water you use in your daily life comes from, and what happens on its way to you. The teams have built team models based on the challenge, representing what they have learned. The Oklahoma Regional Expo in Shawnee gives teams the opportunity to share what they have achieved. Come and celebrate their hard work at the FireLake Arena in Shawnee on Saturday from 8am-2pm.
