Come in and learn about Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils from Dr. Yunker of the Oklahoma Geological Survey. Kids get to explore the samples, ask questions, make observations, and will be provided with a Rock, Mineral, and Fossil Kit. The kits are generously provided by the Oklahoma Geological Foundation whose mission is to further geoscience education efforts within Oklahoma. Learn about the world of rocks, minerals, fossils, and the world of geoscience.
Dr. Molly L. Yunker joined the Oklahoma Geological Survey (OGS) and serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the OGS. Dr. Yunker’s expertise and passion lies at the intersection of Geology and Education. She holds her B.S. and M.S. at Case Western Reserve and her Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. She spent two years as a Fulbright Scholar and postdoctoral researcher in Israel. Dr. Yunker works collaboratively with scientists, researchers, educators, and the public to bring earth science concepts to people of all ages.
