These hands-on activities give children experience with real-world scientific and artistic concepts, as well as using technology to bring that experience into the twenty-first century.
This week, we'll be learning about physics. Physics starts with principles every kid understands (like "what goes up must come back down!"), and we're going to leverage those principles to build all sorts of cool experiments to see how they interact with their world, all the while almost accidentally learning about things like friction, drag, momentum...you name it!
This Learning Lab is for ages 8 through 10. All Learning Labs have an age requirement: if your child does not fit the age profile of this Lab, we can almost guarantee (ages 5-18) that we have one for your family - and there are activities for all ages throughout all of summer in the Norman Libraries!
These Learning Labs open for registration two weeks prior to their start date, and registration is required. You are welcome to contact Aaron Pence, the manager of the Computer Training Center, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (405) 701-2696 with questions.
