What better way to have fun - and avoid the Summer Slump - than with the Computer Training Center's Learning Labs!
These hands-on activities give children experience with real-world scientific and artistic concepts, as well as using technology to bring that experience into the twenty-first century.
This week, we'll be learning about music. A most basic and infinitely extensible art form, music is a way we learn to express ourselves even before we're born (it's true!). Learners will get to make their own music, will learn basic music theory, will make instruments, and will even learn how to make electronic music on the computer!
This Learning Lab is for ages 5 through 7. All Learning Labs have an age requirement: if your child does not fit the age profile of this Lab, we can almost guarantee (ages 5-18) that we have one for your family - and there are activities for all ages throughout all of summer in the Norman Libraries!
These Learning Labs open for registration two weeks prior to their start date, and registration is required. You are welcome to contact Aaron Pence, the manager of the Computer Training Center, at apence@pioneerlibrarysystem.org or (405) 701-2696 with questions.
