Make new friends, check out different anime/manga, and do a fun activity. Connect with and learn more about other’s experiences while sharing your own. Designed for teens and adults.

Join us as we come together to watch Tokyo Godfathers, make Japanese New Year's Cards, and get to know people who share a similar interest. Participants will learn a little about how Japan celebrates the new year and have an opportunity to learn how to write a simple New Year's card in Japanese! Discover new techniques and perspectives as we meet with others to learn about their experiences while sharing your own.

Please bring any materials to help support your experience and comfort.

Cardstock, stickers, and brush pens will be provided.

Synopsis for Tokyo Godfathers (2003, PG-13): On Christmas Eve, three homeless people living on the streets of Tokyo discover a newborn baby among the trash and set out to find its parents. Directed and written by the renowned Satoshi Kon, this comedic and heartwarming tale is a must see, though it is not recommended for younger viewers.
