A program geared for older adults about driver safety.
Driving is a connection to our independence. For many older adults, the greatest fear is losing their ability to drive a vehicle. This presentation provides guidance on maintaining your independence to continue driving and also educates older drivers, and family members on laws, medical issues, and safety concerns. Increasing age is not an indicator that you have to stop driving, but a time for assessing and making adjustments. Kelli Bruemmer, instructor with OHAI (Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative) will be presenting this comprehensive class on driving safety.
Financial assistance for this special project is made possible with Federal funds from the Institute of Museum and Library Services administered through the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, "part of the health literacy grant".
