Modern word processing software has come a long way since the typewriter! Microsoft Word is the most popular choice for everything from writing letters to resumes; come down to the Library and we'll show you how to get started.
In the first day of this four-day series, participants will work with text (using functions such as cut-and-paste and bulleted lists) and learn how to do basic formatting (like spelling and grammar check and headers and footers).
In the second day, participants will work with pictures and shape drawing, and will learn how to create and format tables.
In the third day, participants will work with page formatting and styles.
On the fourth and final day, participants will work with some of Microsoft Word's more advanced features, such as Track Changes, styles, and more.
Good computer skills are needed for this series.
Registration is requested. Register online, at the Computer Training Center, or call the library. Classes start on time and students more than ten minutes late will not be guaranteed a computer.
