Teen volunteers are needed to help in the library during the summer! Applications may be picked up in the library or downloaded online.

Teen volunteers are needed to help in signing up summer reading participants, to assist during numerous summer reading programs, to help prepare for programs and events, to shelve books and materials, and to do other tasks that go on behind the scenes at a public library. At this training, Teens will get to know the Volunteer Supervisors, learn the guidelines expected of volunteers, and set up summer schedules.

Applications may be picked up at the Info and Children's desks at the library or downloaded here

Requirements to Volunteer:

  • Be between the ages of 13 and 17. *Or 18 if still in high school* 
  • Must attend the entire Teen Volunteer Orientation.
  • Must submit a completed and parent/guardian signed application before the start of the orientation.
  • Must be willing to work a minimum of 4 hours ueach week during the summer. *Some exception for vacations, camps, etc. can be made, but must be exceptions and not the norm.*

Returning volunteers must attend the training or make prior arrangements with their Volunteer Supervisor.

Pre-registration for the event is not required, but those that register will get an email reminder.
