Come learn all about scene, setting, and creating the world of your story!
Will your story take place on Mars? In the Middle Ages? On a pirate ship? All three? Or maybe just in Small Town America, or a modern-day city? What settings will help you tell your story best, and what do you need to know or create about them before you start writing?
No matter where or when your story is set, we’re here to help you figure out how to find those answers so you can write it realistically.
This is part of a month-long series of story development workshops held at various Pioneer library branches in partnership with NaNoWriMo (the National Novel Writing Month organization) and their local coordinators (known as Municipal Liaisons). For more information, visit their website at nanowrimo.org.
You do NOT have to participate in NaNoWriMo to attend this event; you simply have to want to learn more about writing! Free and open to the public; registration is not required.
