Help improve the health of the planet, people, and animals! Foam takes 500 years to start decomposing and in the process leaches harmful chemicals into the environment. PLS is partnering with Churches Caring for Creation to recycle clean foam into usable plastic! Drop off your clean foam in this event held in the Shawnee Public Library parking lot and watch it be compressed and transformed into reusable plastic using the mobile Hybrid Styro Densifier. Rain delay: In case of rain on March 26, the event will be held on the following Saturday, April 2, at 10 am.
Items that can be recycled: clean, Clean, CLEAN food service or packaging foam (please wipe food containers, empty cups, and remove tape/paper). Packing peanuts cannot be recycled.
