Come explore fun stories and activities that engage the five senses! Designed for children 2 and up with special sensory needs or those who prefer smaller crowds.

This program is designed to allow children with special sensory needs and their caregivers to explore sensory stimulation through a variety of play experiences together! Sensory Explorers will include elements to help facilitate comfort and reliability for children with special sensory needs such as: visual schedules, individual activity stations, the ability to move freely throughout the room, and communication with the program leader about individual needs. All materials will be provided and messy items might be used to contribute to sensory experiences. 

Limited to 10 families per session to allow for individual attention. Registration is required, children age 2 and up and all abilities are welcome to attend. If you have questions about this program, please call the Shawnee Public Library at 405-275-6353!
