Learn the skills and tools needed to become an information investigator. Gayland Kitch, Director of Emergency Management for the City of Moore, and Rick Smith of the National Weather Service, will discuss what severe weather is and the history of our tornado events. Additionally, attendees will learn how to receive information/alerts/warnings, where to shelter and not shelter, and information on our siren system and the protocols for activating them.
We will explain how our Emergency Operations Center operates and the tools we use, including our interaction with the National Weather Service.
