Help improve the health of the planet! Foam takes 500 years to start decomposing and in the process leaches harmful chemicals into the environment. PLS is partnering with Churches Caring for Creation to recycle clean foam into usable plastic. Drop off your clean foam in the Shawnee Public Library parking lot and watch it be compressed and transformed into reusable plastic using the mobile Hybrid Styro Densifier.
Items that can be recycled: clean, Clean, CLEAN food service or packing foam (foam that snaps when broken) Please wipe or rinse food containers and empty cups, and remove any tape or labels. Packing peanuts can not be recycled.
